The SCR-106 and SCR-106HDR are X-Band Software-defined Compact Radios (SCR) from Innoflight’s communications and networking line.
Overview: on-orbit configurable; ranging support (PN / PRN).
Key characteristics: uplink frequency L-Band / S-Band, downlink frequency X-Band, RF power up to 2 W, downlink data rate up to 20 Mbps for the SCR-106 and up to 100 Mbps for the SCR-106HDR, modulation BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK and 8PSK.
Options: AES-256 (commercial) or KI-103 (Type 1) encryption.
The unit is offered in CubeSat and SmallSat form factors and has been flying since 2022 at TRL 9 / MRL 9.
