About
The CFC-405XP and CFC-450XP are Compact Flight Computers (CFC) combining a General-Purpose Processor (GPP) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) in a 3U VPX module.
Overview: high performance GPP / FPGA; includes the CyberDog Software Suite; includes a Linux reference design; on-orbit re-programmable; based on the legacy CFC-400XS hardware platform. Ideal for Command and Data Handling (C&DH), payload interface and data processing, and Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) applications.
Key characteristics: processor board with defense-grade Xilinx UltraScale+ Multi-Processor System-on-Chip (MPSoC); radiation tolerant supervisor board implementing radiation mitigation techniques; interfaces Ethernet (5x 1000Base-T GbE) and serial (RS-422, LVDS and UART).
Size, weight and power: 3U VPX module 171 x 100 x 25 mm, 547 g, 18-25 W. Technology and manufacturing readiness are TRL 9 / MRL 10, with flight heritage since 2025.
