About
The IOS CubeSat 3.0 Kit is Interorbital Systems’ next-generation satellite kit, developed and tested based on customer feedback from earlier 1.0 and 2.0 versions. The kit is easier to assemble and repair, requiring no drilling, tapping, or soldering, and can be built in under 15 minutes with just a screwdriver. It is available in 1U to 6U configurations and serves engineering/science professionals conducting on-orbit research, educational institutions training students in spacecraft design, and hobbyist experimenters. The first completed IOS CubeSat Kit 1.0 was launched into orbit aboard India’s PSLV launch vehicle in 2019. The CubeSat 2.0 predecessor included a 10x10x10 cm aluminum/PCB chassis, 2×4 Mbits FRAM memory, Atmega 2560 microcontroller, 9-DOF inertial module, 4 solar cells, 4 Li-ion batteries, a 1.5W radio transceiver, and radiation sensors.
