About
XLink is a fully featured bidirectional Software Defined Radio (SDR) transceiver platform designed for high reliability, leveraging extensive experience in utilizing cost-effective commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components. It features a superior Gigabit Ethernet-Interface for reliable telemetry and telecommand operations, with additional support for RS422 (SPI, UART, CAN). The platform is highly flexible, capable of supporting both CCSDS and DVB-S2 protocols. It offers high bandwidth efficiency with data rates for downlink/telemetry and payload of up to 200 Mbps and for uplink/telecommand of up to 1024 kbps. The flight-proven XLink supports X-, S-, L- and Ka-band communication links, making it an ideal choice for small satellites operating in LEO environments.
Several configurations are available:
– **XLink-X**: Features an optional application of two separate Tx channels, which can be used for increased transmit power or redundancy, and an S-Band Rx channel.
– **XLink-S**: Offers the optional use of two separate Tx and Rx channels for increased transmit power or redundancy purposes.
– **XLink-S TM/TC**: Includes an integrated receive ready GPIO pin to notify other connected satellite systems about incoming ground data.
– **XLink-L**: Provides the optional use of two separate Tx and Rx channels for redundancy and connecting antennas from opposite sides.
– **XLink-X Power Amplifier**: An additional power amplifier commanded via XLink-X, enabling an output power of up to +34 dBm.
– **XLink-SKa**: The latest development, featuring a payload downlink data rate of up to 200 Mbps in newly available frequency bands.
