The MP42D small satellite bus is Kongsberg NanoAvionics’ largest and heaviest microsatellite offering, specifically designed for demanding space applications. It features a maximum payload footprint of 730(L) x 730(W) x 600(H) mm and incorporates a 24-inch ESPA-class separation ring for orbital deployment. This bus can support payloads weighing up to 100 kg. Like other standard microsatellite buses from NanoAvionics, the MP42D is available in three performance configurations: Light, Mid, and Max. These configurations are tailored to match customers’ specific payload mission requirements and to accelerate the payload integration process. An optional propulsion system can be integrated with the MP42D. This system enables the satellite to perform high total impulse maneuvers, which are crucial for orbit synchronization and atmospheric drag compensation. By utilizing this propulsion capability, the satellite can significantly extend its orbital lifetime and adapt more effectively to changing mission objectives.
