About

The Satlab Polaris ADS-B is a fully self-contained software-defined radio receiver specifically designed for 1090 MHz ADS-B messages. It includes an integrated demodulator and storage capabilities. This versatile SDR is optimized for the size, weight, and power constraints typical of CubeSats, and can also serve as an additional payload on larger Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. Built on Satlab’s second-generation SDR platform, it leverages in-orbit experience gained from the QubeAIS receiver, which has been flying on missions since 2013. The Polaris ADS-B is part of the Polaris SDR product line, which has demonstrated reliable flight heritage since 2019, with over 100 units successfully delivered to customers worldwide for various space missions. It boasts a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 9, indicating it is fully qualified and operational in its intended environment. Custom hardware and software requests can often be accommodated.
