The U7720 is SpaceBridge’s entry-level rackmount satellite modem/router built for high performance L2/L3 multipurpose, multiservice networking applications. It delivers IP speeds up to 100Mbps download and 15Mbps upload, using a DVB-S2X forward link with highly granular MODCODs, low roll-off rates, and Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) for maximum spectral efficiency, paired with DVB-RCS2 return channels supporting QPSK and 16QAM modulation with rolloffs up to 5%. It supports OpenAMIP standards and ESTELLA maritime multi-beam capability with automatic beam switching, making it suitable for maritime and mobility communications. The product family is offered in multiple form factors: U7720-60 (rackmount, low power, <40W RF/BUC power), U7720-120 (rackmount, mid power, <100W RF/BUC power, with Quad GigE), U7720-ODU (IP67-rated outdoor enclosure, low power), and U7720-SA (stand-alone board level for terminal integration). Additional features include Performance Enhancement Proxy and QoS optimization, optional IPSec 256AES encryption, and compatibility with most COTS BUC/LNBs or transceivers.
