About

The SITAEL S-75 is a 75 kg class all-electric microsatellite platform developed by SITAEL (Italy) and offered commercially through the STRIVING In-Orbit Demonstration and In-Orbit Validation (IOD/IOV) service. The S-75 uses Hall effect electric propulsion for orbital manoeuvring, station keeping, and deorbit, eliminating chemical propellant and reducing launch mass. The bus accommodates up to 25 kg of payload mass in a 320 × 320 × 400 mm volume with 30 W average / 200 W peak payload power. Three-axis attitude control is provided by reaction wheels and magnetic torquers. The platform is designed for LEO Earth observation missions and satellite constellation deployment, offering autonomous orbit management capability. STRIVING is an ESA-backed commercial IOD/IOV service operated by SITAEL with partners IMT, Planetek, and Tyvak International, providing end-to-end mission services including test campaigns (functional, environmental, vibration, TVAC, radiation, EMC), spacecraft and payload control centres, multi-band ground stations (VHF/UHF/C/S/X-band), and launch procurement. The S-75 has flight heritage through SITAEL’s smallsat programme.
