About
The EWC31 is a high performance CCSDS S-band transceiver developed by Syrlinks, with support from CNES, intended for use on NanoSat and CubeSat platforms. It includes ‘electronic fuses’ implemented on board to switch off certain power lines in the event of a latch-up or over-current consumption caused by space radiation, protecting the equipment from radiation-induced faults. On the transmit side, the equipment operates in the 2200–2290 MHz frequency range, with RF output power adjustable from +27 to +33 dBm and a data rate selectable from 10 kbps to 2 Mbps. On the receive side, the equipment operates in the 2025–2110 MHz frequency range, with a data rate selectable from 8 to 256 kbps. The product has flight heritage and is currently in production. It is offered by Syrlinks, a company founded in 2011 that designs and manufactures radiocommunication and radionavigation equipment for small satellite platforms (Nano, Micro and Mini satellites), including TTC transceivers in S, X and K/Ka band, high data rate transmitters, precise GNSS receivers, spectrum monitoring payloads, LEO PNT payloads, and payloads for data collection, as well as products for defense and safety markets. Syrlinks holds the SME label awarded by CNES, recognizing it as a key SME space supplier.
