About
EWC34 is the second generation of Syrlinks’ X-Band transmitter, developed to answer increasing demand for high data rate transmission and extended missions in orbit up to 10 years in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). The EWC34 CLASS 2 variant is a reliable, high performance, low power consumption X-Band (8GHz) transmitter that was originally developed for Airbus Defense & Space for downloading telemetry on small platforms. Offered by Syrlinks since 2016, it is based on space qualified components and is fully compliant with the ECSS-Q-ST-60C CLASS 2 standard. The transmitter includes an integrated DC-DC converter with galvanic isolation. It belongs to Syrlinks’ CLASS 2 product series alongside the EWC29 and EWC30 transmitters, which have already been awarded and commissioned for spacecraft platforms such as MYRIADE EVOLUTIONS (developed with CNES, Airbus Defense & Space, and Thales Alenia Space) and other missions, giving the product line established flight heritage. It is categorized under the Telecom Subsystem as a Transmitter, designed in a SmallSat form factor, and is currently listed as In Production.
