The VORAGO PEB1 is the primary development and evaluation platform for the VA416X0 family of radiation-hardened ARM Cortex-M4 microcontrollers (VA41620 and VA41630). The kit comprises three boards: a central single board computer (SBC) hosting the target MCU, plus two interchangeable daughter cards providing comprehensive interface coverage for system integration validation.
The SBC hosts the VA41620 or VA41630 MCU with a 256 KB boot SPI FRAM, 3.3 V and 1.5 V voltage regulators, 20-80 MHz clock generation, and an integrated Segger J-Link OB debugger for immediate out-of-box programming. Daughter Card A provides peripheral access: 256 KB SPI FRAM, I2C accelerometer, dual CAN transceivers, PMOD-compatible connectors, and a SpaceWire micro-DB9 connector. Daughter Card B enables bus-expansion testing: 512 KB EBI FRAM + 512 KB EBI SRAM, dual CAN transceivers, Ethernet RJ45, and a second SpaceWire micro-DB9.
Ordering options include PEB1-VA41620 (populated with VA41620) and PEB1-VA41630 (populated with the FRAM-integrated VA41630). A software kit, Board Support Package, and Programmer’s Guide are available on request.
