About VORAGO Technologies

VORAGO Technologies is an Austin, Texas-based semiconductor company and the industry leader in radiation-hardened and radiation-tolerant microcontrollers and microprocessors for space, defense, and other extreme-environment applications. The company's core differentiation is its patented HARDSIL process technology, which fortifies commercial CMOS chip designs to withstand ionizing radiation, thermal extremes, and latch-up events — without the prohibitive cost and schedule penalties of traditional radiation-hardened-by-design (RHBD) processes.

VORAGO's product portfolio spans multiple ARM architecture generations: the ARM Cortex-M0 VA10805 for simple control and power management tasks; the flagship ARM Cortex-M4 VA416X0 family (VA41620, VA41628, VA41629, VA41630) for main spacecraft computing and data handling; the next-generation dual-core ARM Cortex-M55 VA53230 with Helium SIMD for DSP and machine learning; and the VA7230 ARM Cortex-A72 microprocessor — the first commercial space-grade processor to integrate a GPU — for high-performance edge computing. The portfolio is complemented by the VC91200 LUMIC latch-up monitor IC for system power protection.

The VA41630, VORAGO's flagship MCU, was the first product from a small private semiconductor company to receive QML Q+ qualification from the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency under MIL-PRF-38534 Class K, and is used by both commercial satellite OEMs and government space agencies worldwide. VORAGO is also the sole company to have FCC authorization to reconfigure AMD space-grade Kintex UltraScale FPGAs using its rad-hard MCUs, a pairing that adds full latch-up immunity to AMD's radiation-tolerant FPGA platforms.

Founded in 2012, VORAGO sells through a network of global distributors including Arrow Electronics and has flight-heritage across LEO, MEO, GEO, and lunar missions. The company's HARDSIL technology is also applied to high-temperature electronics for oil & gas downhole applications.
