The VORAGO VA41630 is the company’s flagship radiation-hardened microcontroller and the first product from a small private semiconductor designer to earn QML-Q+ qualification from the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) under MIL-PRF-38534 Class K. Built on an ARM Cortex-M4 core with FPU at up to 100 MHz and manufactured with VORAGO’s patented HARDSIL technology, it is deployed by both commercial and government space agencies in the most demanding mission-critical systems.
The VA41630 distinguishes itself from the VA41620 by incorporating 256 KB of integrated non-volatile memory (NVM) on-chip, eliminating the need for external boot memory and reducing system complexity. All on-chip memories are protected by EDAC and memory scrub engines, delivering a soft error rate below 1e-15 errors/bit-day. TID performance exceeds 200 krad(Si) and SEL immunity exceeds 110 MeV·cm²/mg at 125 deg C.
The peripheral set mirrors the VA41620: three each of UART, I2C, and SPI, two CAN 2.0B interfaces, a 10/100 Ethernet MAC, a full-duplex SpaceWire interface, 104 configurable GPIO, an 8-channel 12-bit ADC, a 2-channel 12-bit DAC, a 4-channel DMA controller, and 24 configurable 32-bit timers.
Available in 176-pin CQFP, 176-pin PQFP, and 196-pin BGA packages.
