Express-AM8 satellite contract was awarded to Reshetnev Company by the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC).
Express-AM8 is based on Express-1000HTB bus. The satellite weighs 2100 kg, features the payload power of approximately 5880 W and a 15-year lifetime. Express-AM8 carries 42 transponders operating in C-, Ku- and L-band.
The satellite was launched on September 14, 2015 and is stationed at 14 degrees East.
