Gonets-M Communication Satellite

Gonets-M is a low-orbit personal communications and IoT satellite developed by ISS Reshetnev as part of the Gonets-D1M system. Launched in clusters of three, the constellation supports store-and-forward messaging, object tracking, environmental monitoring, and SCADA data collection. The system provides communications services in remote areas beyond the reach of terrestrial networks, including polar regions. Gonets-M spacecraft replaced the earlier Gonets-D1 satellites, and the constellation operates in low circular orbits providing periodic revisit coverage globally.
