The Glonass-K is a navigation satellite developed for the GLONASS global navigation satellite system. It is equipped with an active 3-axes attitude determination and control system (ADCS). The satellite has an electrical power system (EPS) capable of generating 1460 W and a design lifetime of 10 years. With a mass of 935 kg, it operates in a high-mid, circular, inclined orbit at a height of 19100 km. The Glonass-K satellites are launched using the Soyuz-2 carrier rocket with a Fregat upper stage from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. The first launch of a Glonass-K satellite occurred on February 26, 2011.
