It features a gravity-magnetic attitude determination and control system (ADCS) and provides 100 W of power from its electrical power system (EPS). The Gonets-D was launched using a Tsiklon-3 carrier rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, with its first launch occurring on July 13, 1992.
