Unlike standard monitoring cameras, it utilizes a global shutter and 100 FPS capture at full resolution to eliminate motion blur during high-velocity maneuvers, making it suitable for dynamic space environments. For missions prioritizing ultra-low power consumption over high-speed data, the manufacturer offers SelfieCam Video and Leo2MP as TRL 9 alternatives. The Orion12MP is designed leveraging a modular methodology, allowing for customization with different sensors and interface options, which reduces engineering effort and cost.
