About
The Alba Orbital On Board Computer (OBC) is designed as the primary control hub for satellites, utilizing a TI MSP430 microcontroller for low power consumption and flexibility. It is readily programmable to fit various project requirements and includes drivers for reading on-board sensor data. The OBC comes equipped with temperature, RTC (Real-Time Clock), accelerometer, gyrometer, and magnetometer sensor capabilities for on-board diagnostics and experimentation. It also features reprogrammable NOR Flash memory for storing critical system operation parameters and an SD card expansion slot for expandable memory options. The board operates on a regulated 3.3V supply voltage, which can be externally enabled and disabled. The OBC meets PQ60 standards, facilitating easy interoperability with other systems via SPI and I2C protocols that conform to the standard. Currently, only an Engineering Model (EM) is available, with a Flight Model (FM) in development.
