About
The OwL 1280 is a high-sensitivity InGaAs shortwave infrared (SWIR) camera built around a 1280 x 1024 InGaAs sensor with visible extension from 0.6µm to 1.7µm. Its 10µm x 10µm pixel pitch enables high-resolution imaging, while readout noise below 28 electrons (rms) and an intra-scene dynamic range of 51dB allow simultaneous capture of bright and dark portions of a scene. The camera provides a 12-bit medium Camera Link digital output and runs at frame rates from 10 to 60Hz. Onboard features include Automated Gain Control (AGC) for optimal contrast across lighting conditions and an intelligent 3-point Non-Uniform Correction (NUC) for high image quality. Like other Raptor cameras, the OwL 1280 is ultra-compact, rugged, fanless, and has its sensor temperature stabilised to 15°C. An OEM variant, the OwL 1280 SDI, offers an HD-SDI interface producing uncompressed, mono, progressive-scan digital video output to the HD-SDI SMPTE-274M 1080p30 standard for simplified system integration; MOQ applies to this variant. Applications include surveillance and scientific imaging. The product is under UK government export control and may require a Single Individual export licence before shipment.
