About
The U7400 is a SpaceBridge flagship telecom-grade VSAT satellite modem designed for professional and mobility applications. It ships as an indoor, 19″ rack-mountable unit suited to flexible deployment scenarios. The router supports hub-less point-to-point deployments as well as ASAT System hub-spoke configurations, and it is built to scale from simple point-to-point SCPC links up to large hub-spoke MF-TDMA/Dynamic SCPC networks. A key feature is WaveSwitch, SpaceBridge’s hub-spoke multi-waveform technology, which provides automatic, on-the-fly switching between MF-TDMA and SCPC return links based on application needs, traffic density, and scheduled triggers. SCPC return-link dynamic channel adaptation helps conserve satellite bandwidth, while OpenAMIP antenna interface support enables SATCOM On The Move (SOTM) applications. The U7400 provides Layer-2 and Layer-3 support with built-in QoS and PEP (performance enhancing proxy). Typical use cases include SATCOM on the move, broadband trunking and mass-population internet access, dynamic video-stream contribution for homeland security and smart cities, mission-critical backup links, dynamic-throughput high-capacity links, and satellite-as-backup for critical communications.
