About

The Xiphos Q8 SDR Dock is a daughterboard for the Q8 processor board that integrates an Analog Devices AD9361 RF agile transceiver module, enabling the Q8 to interface with high-bandwidth radio or RF streams. It allows customers to execute high-performance software-defined radio algorithms on either the Q8’s ARM processors or its programmable FPGA fabric.

The SDR Dock provides two RF transmit and two RF receive ports, a CAN bus interface, USB 2.0, PPS timing input, and LVDS GPIO with SpaceWire protocol capability. The AD9361 transceiver covers a wide frequency range with programmable bandwidth, making the board suitable for satellite telemetry/command, inter-satellite links, Internet of Things connectivity, and RF sensing payloads.

The compact form factor and low power consumption make it practical for integration into SmallSats with constrained SWaP budgets.
