About
The Xiphos Q8J is a low SWaP computer-on-module based on the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC that extends the Q8 with multi-Gigabit per second GTH transceivers supporting JESD204B and PCIe Gen 2 interfaces, along with access to external DDR3 or DDR4 memory via the mezzanine connector. These additions enable the next generation of Software Defined Radio platforms and high-bandwidth payload data handling applications.
The Q8J shares the same quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 application processor and dual-core Cortex-R5 real-time processor as the Q8, with the same 4 GB ECC-protected LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB eMMC storage. The GTH transceivers enable JESD204B synchronization with RF ADCs and DACs at sample rates that would saturate conventional LVDS interfaces, making the Q8J the natural complement for high-channel-count RF front-ends.
The board maintains a 30 krad TID radiation tolerance and includes Xiphos’s full radiation effects mitigation suite.
