About

The Xiphos Q8RF is a space-qualified RFSoC processor built around the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ ZU28DR, which integrates high-speed RF-class ADCs and DACs, programmable FPGA logic, and embedded ARM processors on a single chip. This architecture enables direct RF sampling and real-time digital signal processing without the need for external data converters or complex analog front-ends.

The Q8RF provides eight receive ADC channels sampling at up to 4.096 GSPS with 12-bit resolution and eight transmit DAC channels at up to 6.5554 GSPS with 14-bit resolution, supporting RF input frequencies up to 4 GHz. The 930,000 system logic cells, 4,272 DSP slices, and extensive GTY high-speed transceivers provide sufficient fabric resources for demanding real-time signal processing pipelines.

Ideal use cases include broadband communications, IoT gateway payloads, RF sensing, SIGINT, digital beamforming, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). The Q8RF incorporates Xiphos’s fault-tolerant space architecture and carries a 30 krad TID specification.
