About

The Yamal-300K satellite was built under contract with Gazprom Space Systems satellite operator. This satellite is designed to provide state-of-the-art communication services to Russia and CIS countries. It is based on the Express-1000H bus, a platform whose capabilities allowed the customer to integrate a payload originally intended for two separate satellites from another supplier, resulting in significant cost savings. Weighing almost 1900 kg, the Yamal-300K features 5.9 kW of payload power and is designed for a 15-year lifetime. It carries 26 transponders operating in both C- and Ku-band, enabling it to provide all types of communication services. The Yamal-300K was launched on November 3, 2012, as a paired launch with Loutch-5B.
