Digital Transmitters (EDT Series)
Digitally-interfaced FM airborne transmitters with TTL/RS-422 data inputs
About
The EDT Digital Transmitter series pairs Emhiser’s airborne FM transmitter RF chain with digital baseband interfaces such as TTL and RS-422, for telemetry systems that deliver serial digital data streams (PCM telemetry) rather than analog subcarrier composites. Catalog variants include EDT-01D1A102-00/-01 in the 01 (1.3 cubic inch) package at 1 W output across the 1435-1540 MHz D1 band, and 2 W / 0.5 W versions in the 1710-1850 MHz D2 band such as EDT-01D2A202-00 and EDT-01D2A501-00, each offered with both TTL (-00) and RS-422 (-01) interface options. All units are AC-powered and packaged in Emhiser’s compact modular enclosures for airborne mounting. The Digital Transmitter line is documented in a dedicated 4.9 MB Emhiser catalog PDF and is intended for missile, munitions, aircraft and range-instrumentation telemetry programs that require a rugged, flight-qualified digital PCM downlink transmitter.
