About
SpectraCAM is Redwire’s high-resolution flight camera engineered for low Earth orbit applications including docking, navigation, inspection, and situational awareness. It streams imagery via GigE Vision over 1 Gb/s Ethernet, and its CMOS imaging sensor’s low-light sensitivity and wide dynamic range make it well suited to high-contrast, sun-illuminated orbital scenes.
The camera supports user-specified image resolution and aspect ratio up to 2592 x 1944 with 5MP monochrome resolution (a color sensor variant is available separately). It offers 12-bit image depth, 1.4 V/lux-sec responsivity at 550 nm, a 70.1 dB dynamic range, and image SNR of 38.1 dB or better, with exposure times adjustable from 0.1 to 5000 msec at 1 microsecond timing resolution. A rolling global reset shutter is used, and the camera supports a standard C-mount lens interface (lens supplied separately).
In a 50 x 50 x 47 mm boresight configuration and weighing under 180 g without optics, SpectraCAM draws 5 VDC at 400 mA at full resolution and 10 fps, and operates across a mounting-plate temperature range of -30C to +55C. It is a Buy America Act-compliant COTS component supporting commercial, civil, and defense missions.
