Flyplan is GMV’s operations coordinator designed to manage activities across the entire ground segment, guaranteeing the consistency and integrity of operations. Its current design, part of the Fleet family of products, is capable of simultaneously managing over 700 satellites in orbit. Key highlights include its ability to run the ground segment master plan across all ground segment components, integrating with other GMV products such as Hifly, Magnet, FocusSuite, and Smartrings. Flyplan enables ‘lights out’ operations while maintaining supervisory control, allowing for actions like pausing, continuing, aborting, or switching to manual control. It also manages task dependencies and data sharing among tasks, and features resource and time exclusion conflict detection. The system is highly interoperable, offering an SDK for monitoring and controlling third-party components, and an API for external components to add activities.
