Magnet

Magnet is GMV’s complete and expandable ground control and monitoring system, with operations beginning in 2012. It currently supports 144 commercial equipment units and is implemented on four continents, monitoring and controlling 18 antenna sites with a total of 23 antennas. The system is focused on security, ensuring ground segment continuity, integrity, and confidentiality. It is adapted to each client’s needs, offering unlimited automation, including lights-out operations. Magnet is highly scalable, from a single antenna to multiple antennas at multiple sites, and is interoperable with open data formats, exposed interfaces (APIs), and accessible services (SDKs). It boasts broad compatibility with a vast library of controllers for commercial equipment units and a development kit for configuring new controllers. Magnet has benefited from several enhancements covering operations and aspects related to performance, reliability, security, and usability, and provides generic support for a wide array of commercial equipment units from several manufacturers. The Magnet development kit (Magnetddk) can also be used to configure controllers to incorporate Magnet into new equipment units. It offers flexible licensing and uses generic hardware, continuously updating for compatibility with the latest versions of commercial orbital transportation services hardware and software.
