About
The ASTROFEIN RW800 is a higher-capacity reaction wheel currently under development (with an engineering model available), providing 12.0 Nms of angular momentum at nominal speed for larger satellite buses. It delivers a maximum commandable reaction torque of 0.2 Nm, weighs up to 6.0 kg in a 250 x 250 x 100 mm envelope, and communicates via CAN/RS485. The RW800 targets a design lifetime exceeding 15.5 years, reflecting ASTROFEIN’s expansion into larger reaction wheel classes beyond its established small-satellite product line.
