About

The SOC-750 is a real-time, military-grade midwave infrared (MWIR) hyperspectral imaging system comprising a very high-speed, high-sensitivity MWIR array and an imaging spectrometer, designed for dynamic scene applications. It can acquire and process spectral imagery at a rate of 11 cubes (256 x 240 pixels x 42 bands) per second at 14-bit resolution, with lower spatial resolution cubes acquirable at higher speeds. The system covers the 2-5 micron spectral range and is offered in two configurations, using a different focal plane and trading off spectral resolution, spatial resolution, temporal resolution, sensitivity, and maximum viewable radiance. For real-time applications such as machine vision, biological screening, and chemical leak detection that require immediate feedback, the SOC-750’s unique processor performs on-the-fly hyperspectral processing at supercomputer speeds, overcoming the processing bottleneck inherent in most hyperspectral processing systems. With multiple matched filters examining incoming data and three spectral integrators, the SOC-750 processor supports many common processing challenges requiring high spectral resolution.
