UHF SATCOM Terminals
Viasat's UHF SATCOM terminals provide highly-reliable access and coverage in severely degraded weather conditions for shipboard, fixed-station, and other environments.
About
Viasat is a world leader in shipboard and fixed-station UHF SATCOM radio communications for defense organizations. These terminals offer highly-reliable communications access virtually anywhere a mission takes you, in any kind of weather. Viasat provides single user UHF SATCOM terminals to complete stand-alone systems for sovereign controlled satellite channels, along with UHF SATCOM modems and ancillary equipment, including High Power Amplifiers (HPAs) and various RF components. The terminals are Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) and NSA Certified. The RT-1829 is a shipboard application featuring up to 4 full-duplex RF channels with 4 or 8 serial I/O ports each, serving as a reliable replacement for legacy systems. The RT-1830 is designed for shore stations or other benign environments, featuring a single full-duplex RF channel with 4 or 8 I/O ports, also replacing legacy systems. Viasat’s VISION software simplifies network management for complex missions, allowing consistent connectivity and maximizing channel efficiency for UHF SATCOM terminals on land, at sea, or in the air. Additionally, Viasat offers DAMA Orderwire Channel Controller Trainer/Simulators (DOCCT/S) to replicate Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) and Integrated Waveform (IW) operations for training and mission rehearsal without live satellite access.
