This actuator is built to withstand extreme environmental conditions, ensuring reliable performance in challenging operational scenarios. Key features include a compact size of 2.3 x 4.9 x 5.4 inches and a lightweight design at 3 lbs. It operates on 28 VDC and ±15 VDC power, delivering a power point of 150 in-lbs at 175 deg/sec and a peak torque of 300 in-lbs. The actuator incorporates an analog command input, an SmCo permanent magnet DC motor, and electronic position and torque limiting for precise control. A film position transducer provides accurate feedback, while high-efficiency steel gearing and mechanical stops contribute to its robust structural design. The Model 905 also features a fail-safe brake (on the -01 variant only), a ±10 VDC input command signal, low backlash, and a position output signal, with a no-load speed of 250 deg/sec and a stroke of ±33°.
