It features a compact size of 3.0 x 3.48 x 6.56 inches and weighs 3.2 lbs (actuator only). The actuator operates on 28 VDC power and has a holding torque of 200 in-lbs. It is controlled by a four-phase stepper motor from an external amplifier, offering a stroke of ±30° with a step size of 0.1° and a step rate of 1 rpm. The Model 971 also includes an eddy current damper and has a backlash of 0.15°. With a rated load torque of 15 in-lbs at 0.6 rpm and a stall torque of 200 in-lbs, it boasts an MTBF of 5000 hours.
