Precision Missile Actuation Systems

Moog’s sophisticated Fin Control Actuation Systems (FCAS) position missile control surfaces in response to steering commands from the flight computer. The typical FCAS consists of three or four actuators and associated control electronics. Actuation system elements can be integrated into a section of the vehicle, or delivered as modular elements to be built into the missile. Moog’s Space and Defense Group has adjacent capabilities in propulsion systems, avionics, power distribution and management, and in the manufacturing, assembly and test of vehicle elements that help achieve best value solutions to fit the logistics of many missile architectures and program needs.
