About
The ASTROFEIN RW1500 is a reaction wheel under development delivering 25.0 Nms of angular momentum at nominal speed, intended for medium-class satellite buses requiring greater momentum storage. It provides a maximum commandable reaction torque of 0.2 Nm, weighs up to 6.0 kg within a 320 x 320 x 120 mm envelope, and uses CAN/RS485 communication. The RW1500 targets a design lifetime exceeding 15.5 years, extending ASTROFEIN’s reaction wheel family upward from the RW800.
